Snow Day(s) pictures

I went out to take pictures of all the kids sledding (someone even brought a snowboard), and Emily immediately disappeared, and while I was looking for her, Sophia hit a tree and scraped her face, so I didn't get very many pictures. But here are a couple of Emily sledding. Nathan was smart enough to stay inside that afternoon.

Girl Scout sleepover

Emily had her first girl scout sleepover last Friday night. It was to celebrate the begining of cookie sales, and it was for all ages of girl scouts in the area. They had it at a big church in Glenpool, and did "spa" activities like facials, painting their nails, etc. She had a blast, but her favorite part by far, was the indoor fountains and fish ponds. She was obsessed with the fish, and named about 12 of them. I had to drag her away from them to get her to go to sleep (which we finally did at about 1 a.m.!)

By the way, I don't know if you can see from the picture, that those are concrete floors, which were soooo hard and sooo cold to sleep on! We were both exhausted the next day, but we still had a great time.

Emily's Number Master Award

This was Emily's first Number Master Award. That is her teacher pinning on her badge, and the principal announcing the winners. She's earned 3 awards so far! Yay Emily!

More Upward Cheer pictures

These were taken at the 2nd basketball game. Emily is having a lot of fun cheering. Our 4th game is tomorrow morning.

Snow Day!

Actually this is our second snow day off of school. The kids have been sledding down the hill in our back yard, across Sophia's yard and half-way into Corinne's. They are having a great time, although Emily did hit a tree once. I can't seem to keep them away from the trees because they figured out that is where the steepest part of the hill is. Anyway, it is better than hooking their sleds up to an ATV and pulling them down the main road of our neighborhood, which is what our other neighbors are doing. I don't have any pictures yet, but will try to get some.

Not much new going on here. I just like this picture --- it cracks me up. Reminds me of the old Church Lady on Saturday Night Live.

Number Master

Emmie got her first-ever award at school today! The kindergartners started a Number Masters program, to begin learning math. She wrote out numbers 1 - 50, in order, in 10 minutes, and earned her first badge and certificate, which was awarded in the gym this morning. Way to go Emily!

GO UPWARD!!!!

This is the tunnel the girls made when the basketball players were introduced. Emmie is on the far right--

Cheerleading

Emily had her first "game" today. Her cheer team, the "DAZZLERS", cheered at the Kindergartners' Upward basketball game. It was very cute (the basketball players and the cheerleaders!). They are going to have a game every Saturday through January and February.

James was catching up on his charts yesterday, so Nate decided to sit with him and work on his Leap Pad.

I love this picture. The Beymer Family got the Rock Band Wii game for Christmas-- We've been having a blast playing (and amusing the rest of our friends and family!)

More Christmas Pictures . . .
